When I titled this blog, "View from this Catbird Seat," I wasn't thinking about Duke or any cat though. I was thinking of the James Thurber's classic. It has long been one of my favorite stories. I remember reading it in class years and years ago and being impressed by Thurber's understated humor--humor that seemed to get under my skin to tickle my "funny bone."
So, if any of you haven't read "The Catbird Seat," or would just like to read it again, I've included the link below. It's a short story well worth your time and I believe you'll enjoy it. It would be great if you would reply here and tell me what you thought about it too. I'd love to hear your opinion.
